Lecturer

I learned what I needed to do every week and four deadlines. I also needed to create my own blog and upload four blogs. I still need to choose three of them to design.

1.Gestalt theory

2.Contrast

3.Emphasis

4.Balance

5.Repetition

6.Movement

7.Harmony& Unity

8.Symbol

9.Word and Image

I chose Gestalt theory, Contrast and Harmony.

Gestalt theory

“Gestalt” refers to “shape” or “form” in GermanGestalt principles or laws are rules that describe how the human eye perceives visual elements. These principles aim to show how complex scenes can be reduced to more simple shapes. They also aim to explain how the eyes perceive the shapes as a single, united form rather than the separate simpler elements involved.

Idea exploration and description

I was looking for inspiration when I found this picture of a Wolf and a child and came up with black cats.

Design

Final design

Originally, there were only two elements, but then I came up with the idea that the two front PAWS of a black cat could be turned into fish, thus forming the image of catching fish.

Contrast

Contrast is the juxtaposition of strongly dissimilar elements. Without contrast, visual experience would be monotonous. Contrast can provide visual interest, emphasizes point and express content.

Idea exploration and description

I'm thinking of a strawberry macaron with colored sugar on it in the middle of a bunch of chocolate-flavored doughnuts.

Design

Final design

The design needed to highlight the macaron from the doughnut, so I chose a high saturation and high brightness color.

 HARMONY

Harmony involves the selection of elements that share a common trait. Harmony is the sense that all of the elements of your design fit together. They may fit the same theme, aesthetic style or mood.

Idea exploration and description

I want to draw a very comfortable picture of photography.

Design

Final design

Since the camera is a large subject of this design, I chose relatively soft colors to balance, and did not use too much dark color to emphasize the camera. Color matching makes it blend into this painting.

Lecturer feedback

The camera stood out a little bit in the sketch, so I lightened the depth of the camera color in subsequent colors, adding a small amount of dark color and a small amount of dark color in other areas to match, not to make the camera stand out too much.

Reflection

In contrast, I know that the color of the background does not have to be very gray or dark, and it is better if it is lighter than it will drown out the subject I want to highlight.
